Position Title: Company Planner

External Description:

 

This position will be onsite in our Hingham, MA office due to the nature of the work.

The Company Planner is responsible for building Omni Channel financial sales, gross margin and inventory plans within the Company Planning group both pre and in season.  Identifies risks and opportunities for mitigation to maximize profits.  Provides analytics and support to the company planning and merchandise planning groups.

 What You'll Do:

Critically analyze business trends to make strategic recommendations to grow the business
Development, implementation and enhancement of specialized merchandise reporting to meet the needs of the CEO, EVP, VP’s and Buying & Planning teams
Manage and oversee the Open-to-Buy at the company level for Retail Stores and Omni Channel view
Responsible for annual, quarterly and monthly sales, margin and turn targets
Weekly re-forecasting of sales and margin to aid in major company initiatives/business decisions
Planning and execution of markdowns and promotional events that align with the overall company sales and margin goals
Collaboration with cross-functional teams in Store Ops, Marketing, Finance to enhance the customer experience in stores while driving the business forward

Number of Direct Reports and Titles:

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree required
5-8 years of merchandise planning experience, which includes progressively more responsibilities; managerial experience preferred
Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
Ability to use logic to solve problems
Able to present clear ideas and direction to others, particularly at the senior level
Able to build strong relationships with a diverse group of business partners
Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Familiarity with retail planning systems; JDA Retail Planning preferred
Experience with or a strong ability to learn reporting/data warehousing tools preferred
Possess strong organization and team management skills
Possess a strong sense of urgency and a high level of attention to detail
Must be organized, disciplined, and able to work under pressure while being flexible and able to adapt
