Position Title: Art Director- Digital and Social Content

External Description:

The Art Director, Digital and Social Content will create and develop compelling Brand messages that engage our current customer but also attract new customers across all our digital and social channels.

 

• Ideate, create, design, and build content that is brand right, on-trend, unique, authentic, and fun that drives customer engagement and increases brand affinity through amazing storytelling.
• Develop and execute creative concepts, ideas and treatments to use across brand appropriate social platforms (including Instagram, IG story, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest).
• Develop, create and maintain the storytelling and engagement pages at talbots.com (Life and Style) including but not limited to Style Stories, Share Your Style, As Seen In, Looks We Love, etc…
• Participate in Marketing Adopt (or shortly after) on the ideation of the Brand moments in order to build creative content strategies for engagement.
• Build cross functions relationships with the Photo team and the Photo Studio team in order to understand the creative calendars on order capitalize when shoots are happening in order to leverage the moment to create content (location and studio).
• Partner with PR and Marketing on Bloggers and Influencer helping to strategize and ideate seasonal initiatives and creating blogger boxes and creative expression.
• Take user generated content and create interesting and amazing content, posts and stories featuring our customers and influencers.
• Build cross-functional relationships with Marketing, PR and Project Management teams.
• Ensures content drives social buzz by working closely with the social analysts and marketing managers on strategy behind the content.
• On an as needed basis, may be required to assist in creative development with the digital team.

 

Capabilities:

• Elevated taste level and innate ability to design and create stories.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.
• Illustration and video editing (even within apps) skills a plus.
• Works well under pressure and is proficient in managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Assertive & resourceful with a proven track record of getting things done.
• A love for (and an active user of) social media.
• A love for modern, classic style is a plus.
