Basic Purpose:

Responsible for providing building maintenance, grounds keeping and support services for the Lakeville Distribution Center.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday / Flexible Day Shift

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide general facilities functions to support the day-to-day operations consistent with a Distribution Center. Tasks include moving, erecting, and dismantling furniture and components, minor carpentry repairs and installations, trash removal, handling of recycling materials, painting, etc. Pickup and delivery of records retention cartons, waste hampers, and supplies. Stocking Restrooms, First Aid Stations and Nurses Supplies. Monitor Readiness Of fire extinguishers, AEDs and First Aid Stations.
  • Completes building maintenance and facilities work to include, but not limited to, handling bulletin boards, presentation grids, keyboard trays, and pictures. Other tasks include changing light bulbs, setting up and dismantling conference room furniture and cafeteria seating.
  • Provides exterior trash pickup including fence lines, compactor areas, smoking areas and trash barrels.
  • Completes and/or assists mechanics with repairs and PMs on building and production equipment.
  • Assist with emergency situations as directed, which may include power outages, first aid, fire alarms, etc.
  • Comply with all company safety rules and regulations. Bring all conditions that pose a safety hazard to the attention of the department Leadership.
  • Fill in custodial work when required including cleaning and stocking restrooms and pantries. General vacuuming, spot cleaning carpets, window washing, etc.
  • Obtain a power vehicle license and operate any of our pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, scissor lifts as needed.
  • Must be trained in Bloodborne Pathogens, Exposure Control, and Hazardous, Regulated, and Contaminated Waste handling.
  • Assist vendors as needed.

Internal: All departments associates including Managers, Supervisors, Leads and associates. Loss Prevention.

External: Vendors.

Education/Experience/Knowledge:

  • High School diploma
  • 3-6 months experience
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Knowledge and experience consistent with maintenance and trade-based work at a level normally acquired through a related vocational course.
  • Work with hands and power tools
  • Work from ladders
  • Operate power sweepers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and gator vehicles.
