End User Services Engineer

The End User Services Engineer supports and maintains all desktop software and hardware including Windows and Macintosh operating systems and is a Subject Matter Expert on end user enterprise software.  Meet approved service level agreements for system availability, perform software upgrades, maintain current patch levels on all end user resources, script solutions and deploy/inventory new hardware.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deployment and support of desktop and mobile hardware including laptops, desktops, macOS, iOS, and Android devices for Corporate and Store equipment. Must be knowledgeable in the latest hardware technologies and system architectures.
  • Work with a small Engineering Team to recommend, design, implement, and maintain enterprise software, workstations, and processes to improve the end user experience.
  • Provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 support for local and remote users. Maintain all desktop operating systems and all enterprise software applications in the Corporate and Store environments. This includes, but is not limited to, problem troubleshooting/resolution, desktop patching, hardware/software inventory, hardware relocation, software installations, and virus definitions updates.
  • Responsible for Operating System maintenance and application deployment using a combination of desktop imaging products, SCCM and VMWare Workspace One. Must be familiar with Powershell and other command line utilities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that proper security procedures are implemented and enforced based on internal policies and procedures (patch management, configuration, hardening, etc.) and safeguard security of equipment and data files
  • C Level support as needed
  • Follows the established principles of the Information Technology Mission, Vision, Values and Principles (MVVP)

 Qualifications

  • 5 years related experience
  • Experience with current operating systems on all workstation and mobile platforms
  • Experience in Enterprise application packaging and deployment
  • Strong understanding of Mobile Device Management
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory. Azure AD experience a plus.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 Suite including Outlook and Teams
  • Keen problem-solving skills, ability to deal with complex situations and recommend a technical solution
  • Desire to learn new technology and to stay well-informed of current technical trends.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must possess the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to meet project deliverables and communicate any unscheduled changes.
  • Experience with ticketing systems like Cherwell, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Retail IT experience a plus
