Primary Purpose:

The Director, Online Marketing will develop and execute an online marketing strategy and tactical plan that effectively leverages multiple digital marketing channels, platforms, and technologies to drive ecommerce revenue, engage existing customers, and acquire new customers, while measuring and tracking business performance across marketing KPIs and budget.

This is a highly visible and critically important role in growing the Talbot’s business, supported by a highly capable team of direct reports as well as partners throughout the organization. Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to effectively and efficiently manage and optimize all online marketing channels across desktop and mobile including but not limited to SEM, affiliates, data feed programs and shopping campaigns, remarketing and retargeting strategies, and social media marketing
  • Optimize online marketing ROAS while effectively balancing and meeting business growth objectives, daily revenue targets, and customer acquisition strategies
  • Collaborate with CRM and Brand Marketing teams to ensure that marketing strategies, segmentation, and activities are effectively coordinated and managed across multiple channels and brand touch points.
  • Partner daily with the Director, Ecommerce, to ensure that the end-to-end performance of our digital marketing and site activities are fully optimized from impression through conversion. 

Education/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred 
  • 10+ years’ experience in digital performance/ecommerce marketing 
  • 3+ years leading a digital performance/ecommerce marketing team
  • Ability and desire to roll up your sleeves and execute as well as to oversee a team that is driving execution
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including data mining and modeling 
  • Strong understanding of customer flows via multiple digital marketing channels from impression to conversion
  • Demonstrated success in setting and adjusting marketing strategies in context of ecommerce experiences to drive business results
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and drive with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic organization. 
  • A strong bias for action and getting things done, both individually and with teams
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Demonstrated success driving ecommerce business results through both customer engagement and acquisition marketing strategies
