Position Title: Intern

Talbots is a leading retailer and direct marketer of women's classic apparel, shoes and accessories. We're known for providing gracious service and a quality selection of timeless wardrobe essentials in a broad range of sizes. We are looking for interns that are just as passionate as we are about fashion, collaboration, and customer service.

This internship will provide the student with exposure to the real world of fashion through technical skills and project work. This student will have hands on experience and the opportunity to sit in on fittings in order to help better understand the depth of the fit process.

Responsibilities of the position:

- Help to create seasonal presentation boards for color, print, and trend

- Help to create seasonal color palettes by finding swatches in color library

- Learn to match colors to printers to help create seasonal color palettes for design teams

-Help to organize and maintain color, print, and print fabric libraries

- Help to check in and review color, layout, and engraving seasonal printed LPSY (line presentation sample yard)

- Attend key print meetings, seasonal print shows and print studio vendor appointments

 

Opportunities:

-Attend key meetings with design teams, merchant teams, & pre-production teams

- Attend seasonal print shows

-Learn hands on how Talbots' prints are developed from concept through bulk production

- Interact with and learn from all cross-functional teams within Talbots' design office 

 

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled and working towards a college degree
• Must be eligible to receive school credit for semester based internships
• Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
• Most importantly a curiosity and desire to learn
