Position Title: Business Systems Analyst

External Description:

This position will be onsite in our Hingham office due to the nature of the work.

The position will contribute to the strategic direction of all systems that support the Finance division at Talbots. The role supports daily operations of production systems, supports documentation of business processes and provides analysis of the operations of functional areas to identify process improvements and systemic solutions. The role also requires the associate to act as a liaison between cross functional business teams, third party vendors/consultants and other IT teams.

 What You'll Do:

• Responsible for facilitating business process modeling, mapping, and analysis workshops.  Perform gap, risk, performance and change management analysis or assessments
• Document process maps, use cases, business requirements and functional/configuration specifications
• Link business goals and objectives to recommended solutions
• Assist business teams with the coordination and creation of test scripts
• Provides ad-hoc data extracts and report creation
• Partners with external vendors & consultants

• Provide day to day support of Finance applications including:
  • Security Administration
  • Workflow transaction maintenance
  • System configuration setups & profiles

 

Dimensions: 

 

• Serves as the liaison between various groups (Business, IT, Consultants and Vendors) to facilitate the development of processes and selection of systemic solutions
• Facilitates/Identifies process improvement opportunities

 

Internal and External Relationships:

 

Internal

• Will interact with Directors, Managers and Associates within the business and IT Project Manager, System Architects and Analysts

 

External

 

• Third Party Vendor relationships in coordination with and in support of the business
• Business Partners
• Project Consultants

Who You Are:

College education (BA/BS) preferably concentrated in IT with two to five years of experience in a related role or project role with an aptitude for operational business process development and systems.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal/communication, writing and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of business process modeling and flow chart diagrams
• Skill in using modeling and flow chart software tools
• Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Customer focused with cross functional collaboration skills
• Understanding of project management concepts and methodologies
• Background and experience in financial application systems is preferred with emphasis on knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.x Financial applications
