Position Title: Specialized Machine Operator II

What Will You Do?

Machine Operator - responsible for set-up, stocking, operating, cleaning and troubleshooting of the the DM Autobagger. It has customer-facing responsibilities for ensuring accuracy just prior to shipping. It will also be expected to rotate and provide back-up coverage of operation of other specialized machines and related equipment in the Distribution Center, including the Steam Tunnel and Box Making Machine. 

What Will We Pay You and When Do We Need You?

Pay: $17/hour

Full Time Shifts Available

• 40 hours per week
• Day Shift: Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6pm

What We Need from You

• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Must be able to be on your feet for entire shift.
• Perform necessary pre-operation checklist to ensure proper startup of machine.
• Operate and maintain the specialized machines and monitor performance to ensure proper functioning of the machinery.
• Perform troubleshooting and adjustment for minor to moderate malfunctions. Arrange for service from Maintenance or Vendor for more complex malfunctions. Identify and communicate mechanical issues with machine to Lead and Supervisor.
• Communicate with relevant departments to ensure constant flow of supplies/merchandise into and out of the specialized machines.
• Ensure all operations are conducted following guidelines for safety, accuracy, efficiency.
• Understand and follow all required safety procedures including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. 
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Replenish machines with appropriate supplies.
• Train new associates on use of specialized machines or supporting functions.
• Assist in other area of DC as required.

Education/Experience/Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience in fast-paced Distribution /Fulfillment center or equivalent environment.
• 1-year experience operating at least one of the specialized machines proficiently is desired.
• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, problem solving, prioritization and planning skills.
