Position Title: Recruiter

External Description:

Basic Purpose: 

 

Position is responsible for sourcing candidates to fill open positions with top talent.  Position develops and implements recruitment strategies designed to meet the staffing needs of the Stores and/or Corporate organizations.  Position assures full understanding of jobs, client needs, business goals.  Position provides efficient, cost effective and timely filling of all open requisitions.

 

Principal Accountabilitie

  1. Schedule and lead detailed job scope meeting with hiring manager to determine position specifications, job content, cost/time constraints, department mission/vision, etc. 
  2. Build sourcing strategies and manage through close partnership with hiring manager and HRBPs to source high caliber candidates. 
  3. Develop and manage recruitment marketing/sourcing plans to determine the most appropriate candidate sources that align to the search requirements.  Leverage social media, resume databases, search engine and networking sites, multiple network sources, online tools, industry relationships, university partnerships, job fairs, community involvement, etc. to identify and recruit top talent.  Develop posting/advertising materials.
  4. Maintain strict adherence to all regulations (OFCCP and all other compliance standards set forth).
  5. Work to deliver a strong candidate slate, continuously building talent pipelines to ensure there are multiple qualified candidates in play at all times.
  6. Proactively and regularly communicate the status of each search to the hiring leader, providing a consultative approach.
  7. Review candidates who have applied.  Evaluate candidate qualifications against position requirements and determine who to move forward in the recruitment process.
  8. Conduct screening interviews to determine applicant qualifications.  Develop interview schedule and compile candidate and hiring manager feedback
  9. Meet with management to review applicants and make recommendations of appropriate candidates.
  10. Prepare hiring recommendations.
  11. Keep candidates engaged throughout process, ensuring consistent communication.  Partner with hiring manager to determine offer details, using market data and compensation guidelines to support recommendations.  Articulate a job offer to candidate and drive for candidate acceptance, anticipating and negotiating counter-offers as appropriate.
  12. Issue skills testing as needed and evaluate results.
  13. Conduct reference checks and background checks on all candidates prior to hire.
  14. Negotiate job offer.
  15. Participate in new associate orientation and onboarding programs.

Education/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and experience at a level normally acquired through the completion of a BS/BA degree
  • 4-6+ years full cycle recruitment experience with the ability to source, attract and negotiate
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to analyze information effectively and consistently
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Retail/Corp/Call Center/Stores/DC staffing experience a plus
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Applicant tracking system, Social Media
  • Strong sourcing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Proven strong work ethic
