Position Title: Regional Loss Prevention Mgr

External Description:

Basic Purpose: 

This position is responsible for implementing, communicating and controlling the company’s loss prevention activities that have the objective of protecting the company’s assets and associates.  This includes preventing, detecting and investigating theft within their assigned regions.

Principal Accountabilities:   

  • Oversee, participate in and monitor the development, implementation and maintenance of Loss Prevention Programs pertaining to external theft, internal theft and unintentional loss in assigned areas.
  • Raise awareness among field management and store associates through store visits that include, but are not limited to, external and internal theft investigations, loss prevention checklist preparation, awareness training and physical security observation.
  • Participate in or conduct store training meetings that cover loss prevention issues.
  • Responsible for communications with stores, Regional Directors and District Managers on loss prevention issues.
  • Respond to Loss Prevention emergencies in an effective and professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain contact with law enforcement agencies within the area where assigned stores are located.
  • Visit new store locations to conduct new associate loss prevention training and ensure physical security systems are properly installed and operating correctly. Visit local police departments and other retailers to discuss security activities within area.
  • Conduct investigations using all tools available such as Exception Based Reporting, Helpline Calls and site visits.

Education/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of and experience in loss prevention normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 7+ years of retail loss prevention experience is required
  • Training experience at the field level is preferred
  • Requires effective working knowledge of store operations, retail inventory control, distribution centers, and merchandising
